ADHD and CHiropractic

ree

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is often looked at as a challenging and sometimes debilitating condition that affects millions of kids and adults worldwide. This disorder is characterized by symptoms such as impulsivity, hyperactivity, and difficulty paying attention. This condition can be tough for children and parents but it’s important to note that there are many successful individuals and world shapers who were also diagnosed with ADHD in their youth. At Tree of Life Chiropractic, we believe by balancing the nervous system and creating a game plan for your kiddos we can set them up for success in the classroom, at home, and their future.

As pediatric chiropractors, we dive deep into causative factors, additional signs, and symptoms in regards to ADHD. Often, the kiddos who are present in our office with ADHD or focus issues also have other challenges. These challenges may present themselves as sleep difficulties, poor digestion, frequent bouts of constipation or diarrhea, respiratory and immune health challenges. When assessing these kiddos in our office we often see a neurophysiological mechanism and trigger of ADHD stemming from an out of balance and overstressed nervous system.

Before talking about addressing this neurophysiological mechanism and triggers, there are some common factors we often see at the initial visit with ADHD kiddos. We often see a history of birth intervention such as forceps, vacuum assistance, induction, and C-section during labor and delivery. Then there comes struggles in the newborn phase such as colic, difficulty latching, breastfeeding, reflux, and constipation. This can often lead to frequent ear infections, use of antibiotics, delayed motor milestones and struggles with coordination. Lastly, struggles with sensory processing and integration leading to challenges with transitions, sleeping, tantrums, and behavioral issues in the toddler and preschool stages of development.

If you find yourself nodding in agreement thinking "That's me!" or "That’s my kiddo!", rest assured that you have come to the right place. As pediatric chiropractors, our commitment is to conduct thorough and comprehensive initial histories and examinations. We employ cutting-edge technology to precisely assess the functioning and balance of the nervous system. By adjusting and balancing the nervous system we can see kiddos regain their life in almost every way. Many of our parents and kiddos have seen improvements in all aspects of life such as school, sports, home life, increased focus, less tantrums, and many more.

Please feel free to reach out or let us know if we can join you and your family on their journey to health, balance and thriving no matter where you are currently.

Really thought-provoking read on how ADHD and chiropractic care intersect. In a similar vein, managing time and focus is critical during exams, when I had to take my online Marketing exam, using Take My Online Exam Pro helped me channel energy productively rather than getting overwhelmed.

Managing ADHD often works best with a mix of approaches chiropractic care can support the body, while routines and emotional support can help with focus. I’ve also seen how services like Paw Tenant, which connect people to emotional support resources, can make daily challenges a little easier to handle.

Reading the Tree of Life Chiropractic post on ADHD and chiropractic care makes me reflect on how many parents are exploring holistic methods like spinal adjustments and sensory-based assessments to support children facing attention and behavioral challenges. Much of the evidence is anecdotal, and while some small-scale studies hint at improvements in behavior or focus, there isn’t strong scientific backing yet outside isolated cases. It reminded me of how students sometimes feel overwhelmed by academic complexity. That’s when reaching out for an online accounting class can be a smart move offering structured support, steady guidance, and clarity when navigating confusing material all without relying on unproven methods or uncertainty.
